Our

Teachings

The doctrine of The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob of the United States of America is founded on the scriptures of the King James Version of the Holy Bible. We believe these scriptures are Divinely inspired, as described by the Apostle Paul in II Timothy 3:16, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."

What We Believe & Teach

The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob is a bible-based church which believes in the teachings of the prophets and Jesus Christ as they are written in the King James Version of the Holy Bible. According to the holy scriptures, the House of Jacob is the oldest church on record (Genesis 28:20 thru 22 and Exodus 19:3 thru 6). It is the church of the firstborn according to St. Luke 2:7, St. Matthew 2:14, 15, and Exodus 4:21, 22. It is the church of the Living God, according to St. Luke 20:37, 38.

We believe and teach our membership to live and practice all of the commandments of God as Jesus spoke in the following passages: "If ye love me, keep my commandments" (St. John 14:15). "He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." (St. John 14:21). If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. " (St. John 15:10).

We believe and teach that we must live a holy and sanctified life as the Lord told Moses to teach the children of Israel in Leviticus 11:45, "For I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy." Jesus also taught us how to sanctify ourselves in St. John 17:17, "Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." Verse 19, "And for their sakes, I sanctify myself that they also might be sanctified through the truth." Jesus sanctified Himself as an example for each of us.

We believe and teach strong family values. Husbands are taught that they must love and respect their wives as it is written by Paul the Apostle in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it." We teach our children that they must obey and respect their parents just as Paul also wrote in Ephesians 6:1, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right." He also spoke to the Colossians, "Children, obey your parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord." (Colossians 3:20). Parents are encouraged to teach their children to value education above sports and recreational activities as they attend school.

We believe that God has ordained and expects us to strive to live according to these teachings in this present world. The church opens its doors to individuals of all races and colors. We believe that Jesus Christ is still crying out today, as He did in bible days, calling for all to come unto Him and to worship together in unity. The church is founded through the scriptures as written in Isaiah 2:2, 3, 5; Amos 3:13, and St. Luke 1:33. We believe that God has ordained a place for us to worship Him in holiness and in truth. We believe that God is a spirit and that spirit is able to direct us as we live our day-to-day lives. We believe that God is still giving us prophets today to give us knowledge and understanding of His teachings and His ways and plans.
