About us

Our history

The Supreme Council of the House of Jacob is a non-sectarian, religious organization with national headquarters in Bethlehem Township in the County of Coshocton, Ohio.

 

The church was founded on January 1, 1910 in Chicago, Illinois and incorporated on January 25, 1918 in Washington, D.C. under the leadership and direction of our Founder, Father G. W. Israel, P.O.I. He was led through the Holy Spirit, to establish a church whose main objective is to establish churches, schools, and nursing homes for all nations, regardless of race or color and to promote benevolence and charity for the mutual good of all.

Timeline: Headquarter locations

  • First headquarters located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the leadership of our Founder, Father G. W. Israel, P.O.I.
  • Second headquarters located at Princess Anne, Maryland
  • Early 1940's headquarters moved to Coshocton, Ohio under leadership of Father W. Wright (Israel), J.I.S., the Successor to the Founder.
